11 June 2009	The M-2009 is behind us. Maastricht Message reflects the key issues of the 23rd ICDE Conference and the annual EADTU Conference 2009. Representatives of regional associations and members have contributed to the discussions on which this message is based.

8 June 2009	Our annual conference has begun! The 23rd ICDE World Conference on Open Learning and Distance Teaching including the 2009 EADTU Annual Conference in Maastricht has finally begun. On Sunday Chair Asha Kanwar, vice-president Commonwealth of Learning opened the conference at 16.00 hours. Read more »

4 June 2009	Professor Armando Rocha Trindade (1937-2009) We received the sad message of the death of Professor Armando Rocha Trindade, founder and honorary rector of Universidade Aberta. During many years (1987-1997), Professor Trindade played a very active role in EADTU as a Board Member and a Member of the Executive Committee. He was a charismatic promoter of distance higher education internationally and the main organiser of many seminars and conferences in Europe and worldwide. Above all, he was a faithful colleague and friend. For many of us, it was a pleasure to meet him, recently as a key note speaker on the EADTU Conference 2007 in Lisbon as well as on the 20th Anniversary Ceremony of Universidade Aberta in 2008 in Lisbon. Our deepest sympathy and gratitude go to his family and Universidade Aberta.
